"I never wanted to be that smug couple that tried to make everyone else jealous," Kieren protests with a delighted laugh, but he shakes his head as he wonders if that's sort of what's going to happen, though. "You're beautiful, though," he says, sincerely. "More beautiful than just about everyone I'd ever known in Roarton."
