Kieren's curled up in a ball on himself, his hands still shaking. He'd crawled into this dim cave the minute he'd seen it because it reminded him of home, but looking at the walls offers him no comfort. There's no candles here, no etchings on the wall that remind Kieren that it's Ren + Rick forever.

All he has is whatever time he's got left and trembling fingers, his collar stained black with his blood as he cries, the fear so terrifying as it grips him. He doesn't want to go back to what he was before, but it's becoming clearer and clearer that he doesn't have a choice.

There's a sound at the entrance of the cave and Kieren lets out a shaky breath. "Go away," he shouts. "Go away, it's not safe here!"
