Stripped of his shirt and sitting bare from the waist up in their small, homey little kitchen, Kieren seems very small indeed. He's not shaking, but his shoulders are hunched and he seems even more pale than usual.

Sirius's chest aches as he reaches a hand up to cup Kieren's jaw, brow furrowing as Kieren continues his tale.
