Kieren wants to keep protesting that he would be fine and that he would call for help using a cell phone or his actual voice, but Sirius doesn't look like he's going to be calmed by any of that and instead, he feels he should give in a little. "What sort of spells?" he asks, willing to entertain Sirius' notions so long as they aren't too crazy. "They won't have any side effects? Do anything weird to me?"

"Sirius, I'm a grown man," he says, "I can protect myself."
